It's Even Worse than Cardinal Sarah Thinks

He told FamilleChretienne.fr (May 16) that the Church is "the divine life which circulates in souls," and not primarily an institution with its games of influence, rivalries, failures and successes.
He believes that many faithful take the sacraments in a superficial and theoretical way because they have been reduced to external ceremonies that are "merely occasions for prayer or for gathering the community of Christians.”
However, after seventy years of Novus Ordo, not even "external ceremonies" are left and the "community of Christians" has become a shadow of itself.
