Francis Receives Blessing of Newly Ordained Priest – Standing

During the August 28 General Audience, Pope Francis received the first blessing of Father Johannes Feierabend, 35, who was ordained a priest in June.

Feierabend belongs to the Benedictine Archabbey of Saint Peter in Salzburg, Austria. The photos of the blessing were published by "Vatican News".

The newly ordained priest grew up on a farm. Before becoming a priest he worked as a retail salesman and bank employee.

I saw an article recently about Cardinal Burke having received a blessing from a newly ordained priest; he was on his knees. It was a lovely and moving moment to have witnessed. JMJ

Someone should put an Amazonian witch-doctor behind Fr. Feierabend. That would get His Holiness down on his knees in a heartbeat.

He has arthritis lol....it clears up when it's a Muslim then he kneels down and licks their feet.
