Second Part: Mel Gibson to Begin Filming in Malta in 2025

Mel Gibson, the director of the groundbreaking 2004 film 'The Passion of the Christ', has been in Malta with a production team scouting locations for the sequel: 'The Passion of the Christ - Resurrection'.
Italian news agency Italpress reported that the filming for the sequel is expected to begin in the spring of 2025. Gibson's visit was part of a five-day trip that included meetings with local authorities to obtain filming permits on the Mediterranean island.
The sequel's script has gone through several revisions, involving Gibson and co-writer Randall Wallace, who was Oscar-nominated for his work on the film Braveheart. It is are estimated that there were at least six versions of the script before Wallace confirmed in April that it was finished.
Lead actor Jim Caviezel has already confirmed his involvement.

Mel can make movies about Our Lord, but I hope he has more importantly straightened out his life.

Mary K Jones

That was a rude remark. Is your life straightened out? Remember that mote thing our Lord mentioned? And just how close to Gibson are you, to know where his life needs 'straightening'? My apology if you are his 'bestie' and know all of the details.

The word on Mel is that he is divorced and has two children by someone who isn't his wife. If he has corrected that, good. If he has repented, he should broadcast the fact, since his sins were public.
