A 31-year-old Syrian "refugee" stabbed several children in Annecy, France, on June 8. He had been refused asylum, a few days earlier. Four children and two adults were injured in the attack. Henri, 24, who was on a pilgrimage to several French cathedrals, protected himself with one of his two backpacks and pushed the attacker out of the playground. LeFigaro.fr dubbed Henri “the hero with the backpacks.” The attacker was also a Christian. That's likely the reason why his asylum application was rejected.
