So there’s some dishonesty at work, motivated by a deep spiritual fear. But both “recognize and resist” and various sedevacantist solutions offer a way out. The great benefit of Viganò’s voice is that he is drawing more and more intellects from the former into the two latter options. We can quibble about which of those two options is the correct one, but this is certain: Unless Catholics abandon the conciliar religion one way or the other, the Church cannot recover, and this is the primary evil of BXVI’s hermeneutic.

Are not Burke, Muller, Schneider, et al. equally indicted for their defenses of the fake council and the religion it created?
