Rome Without A Pope: Jorge Mario Bergoglio is There, but not Peter. : STILUM CURIAE

21 Febbraio 2021 Marco Tosatti Dear friends and enemies of Stilum Curiae, we are happy to share the English translation of the article written by …

...and, like most of his arguments, he's wrong @HerzMariae Pope Francis does what previous popes have done before him: advance errors, meddle in secular politics, promote leftist ideologies, and so on. He DOES do what "the pope" does and has been doing for nearly half a century now, the both of them..

Please post your official Vatican appointment as Overseer of Papal Job Performance. If you don't have one, then it's just your opinion, bro. Many leftist Catholics adore what Pope Francis is doing and feel he's doing exactly "what a pope should do". Their opinions aren't any more valid than the author's.

"Bergoglio has certainly placed social themes at the center of his teaching."

Is that any worse than all the "ecumenical outreach" of Saint John Paul II?

"In Amoris Laetitia we read, blah-blah-blah"

If a Pope promotes or endorses error, that doesn't negate his rightful claim to the office. Benedict XVI and JP II authored (and approved) questionable documents as well.

"Rome is therefore without a pope."

See my last point about a Pope promoting or endorsing error. Francis is nothing new.

Like all hypocrites, it isn't the act of promoting error that infuriates M. Tosatti, it's the man doing it. After all. this author has been mute when it came to denouncing the papacies of BXVI and JPII on the basis of their errors. Funny thing.

"I have already written elsewhere that Bergoglio has now become the chaplain of the United Nations, and I believe that this choice is of unprecedented gravity."

LOL... because every nation is subordinate to the UN and every nation within the UN is Catholic, amirite? :P Go tell that to China and Saudi Arabia, amigo.

"This personalization of the papacy has become explicit ever since the Vicar of Christ, wanting to present himself as 'one like us'..."

...spent much of his papacy travelling around the world and kissing up to non-Christian religions. I'm sorry, that's JP II. Do continue with your contrived criticism of Francis.

"implicitly separates himself from the authority that Our Lord has conferred on Peter "

Explicitly, Francis The Autocrat has done no such thing with his authority and runs the Vatican like an Argentinian military junta. So, "implicitly" the author is full of it.

"How long will Rome remain without a pope?"

Just because you don't like him, doesn't invalidate his Papacy. You aren't a king-maker and the College of Cardinals decides who gets to be Pope, not some Italian blogger. They picked one and now everyone is stuck with him, you included.
HerzMariae
His argument is that Bergoglio does not act like a pope, strengthening the faithful in the Faith, representing Christ on earth in this mission.
