Il 27 febbraio 2014, ricorre il cinquecentenario della riconsegna della Certosa di Serra San Bruno all'Ordine dei Certosini. Infatti, alla data del 27 febbraio 1514, dopo 322 anni di permanenza dei Cistercensi, i monaci bianchi di San Bruno tornavano in possesso della loro Certosa e delle reliquie del fondatore dell'Ordine. Ma cosa accadde in quel 1194 quando, per volere del papa Celestino III e del re Tancredi di Sicilia, i Certosini furono allontanati dal loro eremo e subentrarono i Cistercensi?

-Il 9 ottobre 2011, Papa Benedetto XVI che, come si vede in questo prezioso filmato, recitò i Vespri con la Comunità Certosina di Serra San Bruno.

On předal velení druhému, když na to síly nestačí.Já nevím, až nám bude 85 a budou na nás kladeny těžké požadavky, možná, že budem rádi, když budem ležet někde v posteli a mít trochu pokoje. Pro každého bude jednou den poslední i ve službě. Jak může třeba kněz sloužit mši, když u se neudrží na nohách. Někdy je prostě duch silný, ale tělo slabé a je to třeba respektovat.ŽE I NĚKTEŘÍ KNĚŽÍ KONČÍ V KNĚŽSKÝCH DOMOVECH NECHOPNÍ SLUŽBY.Život je složitý.
