Sprawa została otwarta w rodzimej diecezji Jana Pawła I Belluno w listopadzie 2003 roku.

According to media reports, the beatification process, which began in 2003, has reached the final stage. A decisive meeting of the competent Vatican body is scheduled for October, it said. A positive result is to be expected, it said. After Pope Francis' approval, a date for beatification could then be set.

I'm honestly shocked they took that length. Either it was given to the office junior in the Congregation for the Cause of Saints, or there was a need to excise any Vatican Bank references regarding his death. Holy Bergoglio will be beatified and canonised almost immediately or at least very quickly (I hope I will be completely wrong).

Fatima laid before us two choices, stop offending God or suffer the consequences. Live Mike understands this ,too bad so few people do. The consequences are frightening ,pray the rosary!

Catholic laity have a moral obligation to keep apostate hierarchy in check, if not outright throw threm out of their position of ecclesial authority.

...because a schismatic group whose founder was excommunicated know how to be "Catholic", right? :P

Doubtful that Bergoglio would approve... "Hell exists and we could fall into it. Actually, I am going to go against the grain here... but of all the post conciliar Popes, Pope John Paul is the only one that may be legitimate. After all, clearly he was murdered and he was murdered because he was Pope, so by extension, that would make him a martyr and all martyrs go straight to Heaven. And that would mean that he would be able to hear our prayers.

Luciani spoke to Sr. Lucia of apostasy and the problems of the Church. In 1977 in Coimbra, future John Paul I talked with the visionary about the risks for the faith lastampa.it/…apostasy-and-the-problems-of-the-church-1.34599250

[Mrs. Olga de Cadaval († December 21, 1996) twice reported these words of Cardinal Luciani to us in a conversation with two Phalangist friends, on February 25, 1993, at Sintra. During this meeting, the Marquise, always very balanced in her judgements, never departed for a moment from her customary deference and great devotion for the Pope, the Roman authorities and the bishops. These words, spoken wholly spontaneously, made a great contrast therefore with the rest of the remarks she made to us.] sacredhead.net/fatima/4/ch8.htm

Recalling his death, many at the time felt he was murdered thus making him a martyr.
V.R.S.
If somebody is a victim of the murder it does not make him a martyr.

I agree with you, I was writing my comment at the same time. :-)

I agree with you too. However ppl thought he was the true pope elected, murdered to make way for an anti pope.

JP1 allegedly said he would restore the Mass of Ages. If that was the reason for his death, there could be no worthier martyrdom. However, any demand to recant would only be known to some now deceased dodgy doctor. Otherwise his possible efforts, words at that stage, to reduce the theft of the wealth of the Church were not without merit. Anyhow it is said that JP2 was left alone as it somehow …More

"JP1 allegedly said..."
... but really he chose the name of the destroyer of the Roman Rite - Montini's as his papal name together with that of Roncalli, creating the brand new tradition of the brand new Conciliar Church.

Yes, it was a claim, and his personality apparently had a weakness, or a deceitful aspect, where he would say things to please his hearers. JP1 got rid of the Papal coronation, despite even Paul VI specifying a coronation with tiara for a successor (Montini gave up his ugly Milanese tiara, not the entire use of a tiara). Canonized -- FOR WHAT??? PR?

Much like American politicos, it seems the hierarchy is bent on blackening their own noses for the cause so they can better "shame" those who actually believe in the Faith and/or this country.

Disgusting, obvious, pandering, filth.

Yes, Luciani was one of those post-conciliar freaks ravaging the vineyard:
'What many people fight is not the true God but the false idea they have made of God. A God who protects the rich, who only asks and demands, who is jealous of our growing prosperity (sic!), who spies continuously on our sins from above (sic!) to give himself the pleasure of punishing us.

Dear Chesterton, you know God isn’t like that; you know that He is both good and just; the father of prodigal sons, who wishes them all to be, not sad and wretched, but great and free, and creators of their own destiny (sic!) Our God is not man’s rival (sic!), He wants us to be His friends, He has called us to share in His divine nature and in His eternal happiness. And He does not ask anything excessive of us: He is content with very little, because He knows quite well that we haven’t got very much."

Probably, according to the modern world criteria, I am narrow-minded. At least, I laugh at the broad abyss of free-thinking.

Nowhere. There is the opinio communis coming of course from the good ol' times preceding the modern "saint factory" and all those Escribas, Montinis, Roncallis, Wojtylas and Romeros given as examples of heroic levels of post-conciliar virtues like dialogue, irenism, ecumenism and so on.
