Latin American Vatican II Disaster: “Preferential Option for the Protestants”
Then came “dialogue with the modern world,” Vatican II, aggiornamento, progressivism, Liberation Theology ("preferential option for the poor"), adopted in 1968 by the Latin American Bishops in presence of Paul VI.
The result: Within a few decades the Latin American Church collapsed (e.g. Brazil: -51%; Protestants: +29%; Guatemala: -55%; Protestants: +41%).
“While the Latin American bishops made the preferential option for the poor, the poor made the preferential option for the Protestants,” Julio Loredo concludes on Atfp.it (January 26).
