Homosexuality in the clergy and in consecrated life "is something that concerns me" and is “a very serious issue”, Pope Francis says in a book-interview with Father Fernando Prado ("The Force of Vocation").
According to PeriodistaDigital.com (November 30), Francis states that there is no room for homosexual tendencies in the consecated and priestly life.
Therefore people with such an ingrained tendency "should not be accepted" into the priesthood or into consecrated life.
He underlines that homosexual tendencies may become visible only after the years of formation. In that case homosexual priests should rather leave the ministry than live a double life.
Francis criticises that homosexuality is seen in Western societies as "fashionable", a tendency that "influences the life of the Church". However, Francis himself has contributed to this.

The pope's statements were from conversations between him and the book author in AUGUST at the Vatican - most likely after the McCarrick scandal broke out but before Vigano's revelations came out implicating the pope of coverup. After Vigano's revelations, I don't think the pope even wants to talk about homosexuality in the clergy anymore.
