Boom: On February 14th the district superior of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X in Asia, Father Karl Stehlin, blessed the church of Saint Joseph in General Santos City on Mindanao island. Around 1000 faithful participated in the event. After the Mass, 47 persons signed up for baptism preparation, 41 for marriage preparation and 193 faithful were received in the Militia of the Immaculate of Fr Maximilian Kolbe and another 152 signed up to enter.
On Site: Greek-Catholic Patriarch Gregorios III Laham who resides in Syria and was born there reacted on Western accusations against him that he supports the government of President Bashar al-Assad. Quote: “Those who give me such lessons should show up on site to see the terror the Islamists inflict on us. Laham accuse the West for its refusal to fight the Islamic State with the necessary means. The governments of the United Nations are not capable for building sustainable peace and justice.
This means eliminating structural violence in all its forms – certainly in its large forms that keep people starving throughout the world, but also in its subtler forms.
The base for real peace is inner peace and inner security.
Infinite ´human rights´ are an obstacle to a just and sustainable Peace Agreement, because of indulge every whim of the people. For this reason they cannot promote the solid foundation for inner peace and inner security, because the mind remains capable of generating fears and insecurities.
