Cardinal Robert Sarah, prefect of the Vatican’s Congregation for Divine Worship, wrote a foreward to Daniel Mattson’s book “Why I Don’t Call Myself Gay”. Mattson calls himself a chaste same-sex-attracted Catholic. His book explains how he found peace in Christ despite his sexual problems. It encourages the Church to reject homosexual ideology.
Sarah remembers "things in the Catechism about homosexuality that some members of the clergy choose not to quote, including the clear warning: ‘under no circumstances can [homosexual acts] be approved’ (CCC 2357)."
Sarah underlines that it is not charity “to omit the ‘hard sayings’ of Christ and his Church.”
