Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, dominates “the whole Roman Curia,” Hong Kong Cardinal Zen writes on his blog (March 21).
Zen reports that Parolin could dismiss the Vatican Commission for the Church in China without anyone protesting.
He disposed of Archbishop Savio Hon, the Chinese former Secretary of the Mission Congregation, making him the Nuncio in Greece.
Parolin removed Cardinal Filoni, the Prefect of the Mission Congregation.
Zen disagrees with Archbishop Viganò assessment that Parolin is Francis' tool. He believes Parolin manipulates Francis "at least in things regarding the Church in China.”
