The same events that preceded the first coming of Christ - occur just prior to His return.

These explain in a very interesting way.

Our Lord referred to Jews as "stiff-necked people." They gave Moses trouble, and they hated Our Lord. Not all of course, but a large group of them.

Daniel 9,26 and ff. sets the recotd straight: the Messiah was to come before the destruction of the Temple... And Issaiah cleared it up, He had to suffer for our sins, in order to take Yahweh's design to fulfillment (53). So he is waiting for the antichrist, good luck with that...

We heard that The Catholic Church is the N/T name for the O/T "Kingdom of God.

The N/T "People of God" are Faithful Catholics and the N/T Temple of God - is St Peter's Basilica - ie the Vatican. So, everytime it is written "Temple of God" in the Book of the Apocalypse, it is a reference to St Peter's Basilica, since previous Popes have refered to the Vatican as "The Temple of God."

So, everytime it is written "Temple of God" in the Book of the Apocalypse, it is a reference to St Peter's Basilica, since previous Popes have refered to the Vatican as "The Temple of God."

Also, St Peter gave it away in his Letters, that "Babylon" in the Book of the Apocalypse is a code name for "Rome"

The Traditional Catholic Mystics have given many Prophecies revealing that Rome (Babylon) will burn for her sins, due to Christ's vengeance falling on her.

Saint Malachy's final words were: "Rome, the seat of the Vatican, will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people."

So the second coming of Our Lord might be just after that event.

Other than the prophecies of the Great Catholic Saints, the burning of Rome is also depicted in the Book of The Apocalypse.

Apoc 14

"no man could say the canticle, but those hundred forty-four thousand, who were purchased from the earth. [4] These are they who were not defiled with women: for they are virgins. (Faithful Priests) These follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth. These were purchased from among men, the firstfruits to God and to the Lamb: [5] And in their mouth there was found no lie; for they are without spot before the throne of God.

[6] And I saw another angel flying through the midst of heaven, having the eternal gospel, to preach unto them that sit upon the earth, and over every nation, and tribe, and tongue, and people: [7] Saying with a loud voice: Fear the Lord, and give him honour, because the hour of his judgment is come; and adore ye him, that made heaven and earth, the sea, and the fountains of waters. [8] And another angel followed, saying: That great Babylon is fallen, is fallen; which made all nations to drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. [9] And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice: If any man shall adore the beast and his image, and receive his character in his forehead, or in his hand; (The spiritual marks of modern Baptism/Confirmation) [10] He also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mingled with pure wine in the cup of his wrath, and shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the sight of the holy angels, and in the sight of the Lamb.

Apoc. 18 - punishment for Babylon (Rome)

[6] Render to her as she also hath rendered to you; and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup wherein she hath mingled, mingle ye double unto her. (a reference to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass) [7] As much as she hath glorified herself, and lived in delicacies, so much torment and sorrow give ye to her; because she saith in her heart: I sit a queen, and am no widow; and sorrow I shall not see. [8] Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine, and she shall be burnt with the fire; because God is strong, who shall judge her. [9] And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication, and lived in delicacies with her, shall weep, and bewail themselves over her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning: [10] Standing afar off for fear of her torments, saying: Alas! alas! that great city Babylon, that mighty city: for in one hour is thy judgment come.

The original burning of Babylon as mentioned by Jeremiah - seems to be for similar offences.....

Jeremiah 51

[1] Thus saith the Lord: Behold I will raise up as it were a pestilential wind against Babylon and against the inhabitants thereof, who have lifted up their heart against me. [2] And I will send to Babylon fanners, and they shall fan her, and shall destroy her land: for they are come upon her on every side in the day of her affliction. [3] Let not him that bendeth, bend his bow, and let not, him go up that is armed with a coat of mail: spare not her young men, destroy all her army. [4] And the slain shall fall in the land of the Chaldeans, and the wounded in the regions thereof. [5] For Israel and Juda have not been forsaken by their God the Lord of hosts: but their land hath been filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.

[6] Flee ye from the midst of Babylon, and let every one save his own life: be not silent upon her iniquity: for it is the time of revenge from the Lord, he will I render unto her what she hath deserved. [7] Babylon hath been a golden cup in the hand of the Lord, that made all the earth drunk: the nations have drunk of her wine, and therefore they have staggered. [8] Babylon is suddenly fallen, and destroyed: howl for her, take balm for her pain, if so she may be healed. [9] We would have cured Babylon, but she is not healed: let us forsake her, and let us go every man to his own land: because her judgment hath reached even to the heavens, and is lifted up to the clouds www.drbo.org/cgi-bin/d

And when Israel's notion of a "messiah" doesn't come? Then what? He's no different than the Lutherans with their "Rapture" that keeps getting predicted and then re-predicted.

If he is talking about the second coming, not so fast, because Antichrist will come first. Perhaps he is referring to the Antichrist? While I think we are definitely approaching that time and going faster, the two witnesses need to come first. My best guess is we are in Great Apostasy.
