Mattsixteen24,
You do become a Martyr by being blown up at mass.

Can't get any more "persecuted because of righteousness" and "die in the Lord" than gettig blown up in a Church during Easter Mass.

Please wake up!!! You and I need prayer, most likely we will not have the chance to die like them. Depending on our level of reparation for our life sins, we may most likely have a long time in purgatory.

What better way to die, then in the presence of God in mass...

How’s that for being Catholic!!!
@Lalanz Ultraviolet got very nasty.

Lol..maybe ultraviolet should respond to this...
@Lalanz (I had to correct my comment up there. I remember now) I don't think he can. I blocked him. He resorted to leftist tactics calling me a bigot. Then he started quoting Lumen Gentium to prove that it didn't say muslims worship God. So I pointed out a major error in it to prove him wrong. He was real nasty so I had to block him. No problem,
You should unblock him
Its good for a challenge once and a while...
You don't become a martyr by being blown up at mass. Then it says pray for us. No, we need to pray for them.

Someone could become the true martyr if before being killed one would exemplify fortitude and reason in testifying to true Trinitarian God - Christ. When faced (to knowingly choose death or life) with option: to bear witness to God and die or betray God to stay alive; is incomparably harder than die in state of unconsciousness... When faced (to knowingly choose death or life) with option: to bear witness to God and die or betray God to stay alive; is incomparably harder than die in state of unconsciousness... In this latter case we may however speak of white martyrdom in regards to those injured, who will live the rest of their lives with the Cross of disability... For deceased we should pray to shorten their days in purgatory... For living to carry their Cross till the end so to also be in Heaven...

Until they are canonized, they should be prayed for. Technically, they aren't martyrs, but died while professing their faith and were targeted by those who did this out of hatred for the Faith For that reason, they should be memorialized by the Church in a public way.

Yes. Do you think 'The Vatican' will do this publicly?

At some point. The inconvenient truth is that it was an attack by the adherents to the tenets of the Koran. But like most canonisations, it starts with the local Bishop. So, it's really up to him. At least locally, there will be an informal devotion to those who were killed. The tricky thing with this, not everyone who was killed may have been in a state of grace.
