Scandal Cardinals Owe their Careers to John Paul II and Benedict XVI

There is no doubt that Pope Francis is leading the Church in a different direction and is implementing radical and far-reaching changes. This, Robert Mickens wrote in the French daily La Croix, which…
Fr. Michael Czerny will be ordained a bishop by Pope Francis on Oct. 4, the day before the consistory.

Very well said.
Unfortunately, also Montini and Roncalli were chosen in preconciliar times.
Although today everything is very different.
Let's not confuse the amount of foreknowledge known by the pre-Conciliar Pope's with that of Pope's John Paul II and Benedict XVI's. Putting the "right people" in place was done by stealth in prior papacies. Let's not confuse the amount of foreknowledge known by the pre-Conciliar Pope's with that of Pope's John Paul II and Benedict XVI's. Putting the "right people" in place was done by stealth in prior papacies. Montini had a long standing working relationship with the future Pope Pius XII and was a logical choice to be his Secretary of State. Pope Pius XII banished Montini, under a cloud of suspicion, from the Vatican and appointed him Bishop of Milan with the instructions not to elevate him to a Cardinal. John XXIII, a long time friend of Montini, gave him the Cardinal's hat to rectify a percieved injustice. John XXIII himself was made Bishop by Pope Pius XI. The future Pope worked to organize relief efforts under the direction of Pope Pius XII to give refuge to the beleagered Jews during the rise of Hitler. For his efforts he was named Bishop of Venice and made a Cardinal. So, the "signs" were there, but only in a 20/20 hindsight. Not so with those elevated by JPII and BXVI. These 2, in my estimation, don't deserve a pass

Of course there is a big difference. First, it seems to me that the conciliar "popes" are really not. But also that evil comes from far behind.
Well, the modernists at V-II, 500 of them, owe their carreers to P-XII, no one is trying to lynch his memory...
@eticacasanova It's true. You could trace the selection of bad bishops going back. The question is, did the pre-VII Popes know they were modernists? I think many of these modernists were sleeper cells waiting for the right time. Traitors like Judas.

These people voted 2CV because they thought that way before.
@forward 2CV?
Those sleeper cells are real, but you cannot say that JP-II and B-XVI agree with Marx, Bergoglio, Martini, Kasper, Sodano, etc. It all is part of the free falling of a society that is in a huge crisis and is very hostile to the Church. And Bergoglio is the exact counterexample to illustrate the point: he IS an enemy of the Church, the two before him, obviously, were NOT... @mattsixteen24
@eticacasanova No, I said they are modernists. I didn't say anything about agreements.
VII POPES = MODERNISTS
