Cardinal Robert Sarah wrote in a letter to Catholics, faced with closed churches due to the coronavirus, to “pray more,” even if “circumstances or civil or ecclesiastical provision” prevent them from attending Mass or go to Church (French letter below).
He reminds his addressees that nobody can prevent them from turning to God in this time of “great trial.”
He believes that the coronavirus oppresses the whole world, “We must turn with more intensity, confidence and truth towards God.”
