Without a doubt all the early printed material has the Holy Name of JESUS as the climax of the invocation on the small beads of the Chaplet of Mercy.
I have a YEAR 1944 DM chaplet and 3 others that states.
"Through the most sorrowful passion of JESUS..."
JESUS IS THE IMPORTANT SACRED WORD IN THE ENTIRE WORLD.
Millions of people could be saying the HOLY NAME OF JESUS
Philippians 2 : 10
That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those that are in heaven, on earth, and under the earth:
"Through HIS most sorrowful passion" is not the Holy Name of JESUS. Do we need the Holy Name of Jesus Divine Mercy announced on earth? Imagine if the Holy Name of Jesus was left in the Divine Mercy Chaplet, say 5 million people recite the Divine Mercy Chaplet every day thats 250 million less times the Holy Name of Jesus is proclaimed every day. What a loss! My challenge to you is obtain a pohtocopy of St Faustina's own hand written diary on the page that records Our Lord's request for the …

Many times I prefer "Through the sorrowful passion of Jesus" because this is written in the autobiography, and I love saying His Holy Name - so powerful!

The official text, in Polish, reads: "Dla Jego bolesnej męki, miej miłosierdzie dla nas i świata całego" #476. Word for word (poor man's) translation:

Dla: For
Jego: his
bolesnej: painful (sorrowful)
meki: torment/passion,
miej: have
miłosierdzie: mercy
dla: for
nas: us
i: and
świata: world
całego: whole

My 2 cents - I do not believe that the nuns from the congregation would engage in any kind of conspiracy about the prayer.
I hope this helps, and good luck to you on your quest.

Btw. The "Corona of Mercy" translation is not correct. The Polish name of the prayer is "Koronka do Miłosierdzia Bożego" (exact translation: Chaplet to God's Mercy). The word Koronka means Chaplet, not corona.

The Corona of Mercy... uh... that's one heck of a pertinent title, given the times we live in.

The only person capable of meeting your challenge is the person who owns St. Faustina's own hand-written diary. Unless, perhaps, they're willing to loan the diary out so others can photo-copy it and that probably isn't going to happen.
