A brief story of Mother Lillian of Paradise Venosa, December 20th, 1911 – Rome September 28th, 2009 Mother Lillian of Paradise was born on December 20, 1911 in Venosa, Potenza, Italy, by Anthony Montereale and Mary Louise Grieco. She received the Baptism on Jenuary 6, 1912 in the Cathedral of St. Andrew and was given the name of Maria Domenica. At the age of 4 she remained orphan of the father who died on December 8, 1915, during the first great war. Mum Louise, to respect the wishes of her husband on February 1916 brought Mary Domenica in the orphanage run by the Sisters of the Divine Zeal, founded by the saint Father Hannibal Mary of France in Altamura. The baby girl will stay with the nuns only until April of 1917, against the advice of the holy Founder who saw in her a very “special” girl.
