On Rosary Sunday (the 1st Sunday of October), the Dominican custom is to bless roses and to give them to the faithful to take to the sick and to their homes. Wherever they are taken, we pray that they will bring God's healing and comfort, and that evil spirits will flee from the homes where they are placed. This photo was taken in the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary in London (St Dominic's Priory).
