The DomInican on the right is St Peter of Verona, who was martyred in the 13th century by Milanese cathars with an ax to the head. That is why Fra Angelico portrays him with blood on his head (easily seen by expanding the photo).

Peter of Verona is said to have died writing Credo in Deum in his own blood.
