The prophecy of the 70 Weeks of Years from Daniel 9 is widely accepted as having been fulfilled in the Old Testament (so says the Douay Rheims Bible footnotes for Daniel 9:25). However, this prophecy also appears to have another fulfillment in the actual history of the Catholic Church! See the below links for details. The first link allows you to download a high definition PDF file of the brochure (as seen on the image for this post). The second link is a YouTube video that explains the prophecy fulfillment.
It’s no surprise that the Novus Ordo rite is the fulfillment of the "abomination of desolation" and it appears "mid-week" between the signing of the Lateran Treaty on Feb. 11th 1929... and the resignation of Benedict XVI on Feb. 11th 2013!

What have I read on the papal crisis? Isn't St Thomas enough? He's not only a Doctor of the Church, but the Doctor Communis.

As to writings concerning this pope (or at least his legitimacy), I have looked at various articles, the names of whose authors I don't remember. I find them disillusioned papolators. Their exaggerated concept of the papacy and of papal infallibility impells them to find a reason to hold that Francis is an anti-pope or that Benedict never resigned. IMHO, in many ways he's just not a good pope.

On the other hand, he cleared up the question of the validity of SSPX absolution and has very good relations with the Society. I have been told that SSPX priests are sometimes hearing Confessions at diocesan parishes.

In fact, I was disappointed with JPII. He did a good job restating family Moral Doctrine, but he did little to reform the Church. And if he had promulgated the document produced by a committee of Cardinals (named by him!), Summorum Pontificum would not have been necessary and it is likely there would not have been schismatic consecration of bishops.

After JPII BXVI produced two great documents. He had the desire for liturgical reform but lacked the adminstrative chops.

Then there was Paul VI, who let his liberal buddies destroy Catholic life, persecuted those who wanted Latin liturgy (almost mandated by VatII), and contradicted the Council of Trent. He's about to be canonized.

Well, from what I've presented above (in the graphic) I can say that I have read Daniel 9 :)

Dr Bobus before I reply. Specify what reflections/ literature have you read on present papal crisis?
Maccabean Uprising
@Dr Bobus @Rafał_Ovile What about the amazing "coincidences" shown above? Stop to give you pause?

@Rafal_Ovile No, I'm a Thomist, not a Modernist--although I wonder whether you know tbe difference.

Soon after I became a Catholic in 1970, I began reading the great commentators on St Thomas philosophy. Maritain, Gilson, and Renard 9the American Jesuit who wrote textbooks on Metaphysics and Anthropology. Also Garrigou LaGrange for both philosophy and theology. After working in software for some years, I went to the Angelicum. As far as I know, I am the only student in the 700 year history of the studium to quiz out of the 2 year course in philosophy. I finished all the theology degrees there, with a graduate specialization in Thomistic Studies. During the last seven years there Don Reto and I lived in the Convitto San Tommaso. I am on this site at his invitation.

After studying there I taught theology at the FSSP seminary in Denton, NE.

The distinctions I noted between potestas ordinis and potestas iurisdictions are very old. They are found in the works of St Thomas, e.g, the Supplement to the Summa Theologiae and the Catena Aurea. They are also found in the 1917 Code. If memory serves, they are found in the Works of Origen.

Ask yourself what is the difference between the power (potestas) of an Archbishop who is head of a diocese and his auxiliaries.

This is a link to an article I wrote on problems with the Vat II priesthood

I was not referring to Celestine V. Nor is it binary: anti-pope or two popes. Priests have Sacramental powers (potestas ordinis); for bishops these powers include the power of ordaining priests and consecrating bishops. There is also the potestas iurisdictionis, which bishops receive in addition to potestas ordinis. This is the power of jurisdiction over a certain area, like a diocese--to a certain extent this means governance The jurisdiction of the pope is universal and includes infallibility.

When a bishop retires, he is referred to as Emeritus, which means he no longer has jurisdiction. When BXVI resigned, he renounced jurisdiction, and so he is Pope Emeritus.

@Rafał_Ovile Perhaps I don't understand what you are getting at here. By saying he didn't resign... then the logical conclusion is that you think he is still the pope. If that is so, then I ask you... do you think that Francis is an antipope, or do you think there are two popes?
Rafał_Ovile
Maccabean Uprising private opinion is irrelevant. Revelation, Tradition and Magisterium foreshadows and condemns such situation... Again correct your text...
Maccabean Uprising
@Rafał_Ovile , so are you saying Francis is an antipope or are there two popes?
Rafał_Ovile
Maccabean Uprising read my comment carefully and pope Benedict's XVI last speech. Dr Bobus you probably referenced to canonical history of pope Celestine V who resigned of all powers contradictory & unlike pp BXVI's visibility.
Maccabean Uprising
@yuca2111 I ask you again.. can you give any evidence and support to show how I am deceived? I am trying to show how the events in recent history at the Vatican uncannily seem to fulfill prophecy. You say I am deceived? What exactly are you referring to please?
yuca2111
Oh my... now I understand where you're coming from, you are deeply deceived (unfortunately) all I can say is I'll pray for you mac... God bless you
Maccabean Uprising
Here is the two horned lamb.. the Scripture from the Book of the Apocalypse matches the events, however inconvenient it might be.
Maccabean Uprising
What evidence or Sacred Scripture do you offer to support your claim? I have offered mine in this brochure. What makes you say it is not?
yuca2111
No... it is not... not yet, but it will be.

Believe me don't believe me don't daré, there's a reason why most of the attacks are directly to the Eucharist. But hey... believe it or not you have free will
Maccabean Uprising
@yuca2111... also, I would love to hear the answers to the questions in my prior comment....... "can I ask why you say that Francis is the 'two horned beast' that comes out of the 'earth'? How do you think he 'called fire down to the earth in the site of men'? And... whose image did he make the people of the 'earth' venerate?"
Maccabean Uprising
@yuca2111 Is the information on the attached brochure a complete coincidence? I urge you to follow the link and download the complete brochure.. both front and back. Per the fulfilled prophecy, the Novus Ordo rite IS the 'abomination of desolation'. And... it will continue to the end, as the prophecy states.
yuca2111
And another thing...

Yes the novus ordo is that place the abomination will be set up, it hasn't happen yet... But Francis is attacking the Eucahrist with all his guns by giving it away to wicked people, the unrepentant.

Once the schism is proclaimed, the abomination of desolation will be set, by saying that the Eucharist is not Jesus but the celebration of finding one another, as brothers... …More

Once the schism is proclaimed, the abomination of desolation will be set, by saying that the Eucharist is not Jesus but the celebration of finding one another, as brothers... then the corruption of the temple would be complete.

This is why God allow this to happen, because of our unbelief spiritual famine came forth, modernists took over... the novus ordo mass is the base for the abomination it hasn't happen yet, but is on its way.

Francis is the beast from the earth revealed in revelantions, the false prophet yes an antipope, there's no 2 popes in charge.
Maccabean Uprising
Are you saying that Francis is an antipope.. or are you saying that there are two popes?
Dr Bobus
BXVI resigned his jurisdictional power. That is why he is Emeritus.
Rafał_Ovile
Maccabean Uprising make errata to information on bottom-right diagram and text. Pope Benedict XVI was forced to leave however did not resign (all powers) on 11 February, 2013. He abdicated (see audience text dated 27 February, 2013) only from active functions thereby still remains the valid Pope untill death.
