Nobody can be forced to receive Communion on the hand, Bishop Athanasius Schneider writes on Rorate-Caeli.Blogspot.com (February 28).
Commenting on bishops using the coronavirus “as a pretext” to abolish communion on the tongue, he explains that from a hygienic point of view, receiving Communion on the tongue is “certainly less dangerous and more hygienic” than Communion in the hand, “Many pathogens are transmitted through the hands.”
“Many people who come to church and then receive Holy Communion in their hands have first touched door handles or handrails and grab bars in public transport or other buildings.”
Banning Communion in the mouth therefore “constitutes an abuse of authority” to spread “more and more the process of trivialisation and de-sacralisation” of the Eucharistic sacrament.
Schneider underlines that in the Church's 2,000-year history there were no proven cases of contagion due to the reception of Communion.

Schneider is absolutely right here and we can only applaud him. Too bad he doesn't always talk like that.

Athanasius is one of them among other few, but to what avail, when Francis is an anti pope, and the few do not have David's courage to trust in the lord and face Goliath, and kill the Goliath inside the church with one stone our Lord Jesus who is the cornerstone of the church and who is the truth.

They (the good shepherds) should gather together and face the Goliath with the power of the Holy Spirit and the aid of our Lady.

We need people with valor to face these evils.

"continues recognize antipope francis," ---as does the overwhelming majority of the entire Catholic world, conservative members of the Curia included. Looks like you forgot that, @Thors Catholic Hammer

Tearlach was focusing on the attack on the Blessed Sacrament which outweighed any errors he made about Pope Francis. Just so you know.
Wow! ...and this from the guy who just got through crying how I follow him around GTV. That screen-cap catching you in a lie really was a gotcha! I could probably use your soreness over it as a space heater! :DMore

„The ban on Communion in the mouth is unfounded compared to the great health risks of Communion in the hand in the time of a pandemic. Such a ban constitutes an abuse of authority.“

If they had real concern and an eye for real solutions, all the better to receive communion on the tongue... while kneeling.

The answer to +Schneider’s, who by the way continues recognize antipope francis, concerns is to ensure anybody receiving communion in the hand is for people to use hand sanitizers.
All church’s should have them any way.

commenting on every post here since January makes you look like a bot. your effectiveness is laughable, and credibility, zero.

"Nobody can force us to receive the Body of Christ in a way that constitutes a risk of the loss of the fragments, and a decrease in reverence, as is the way of receiving Communion in the hand." - Bishop Athanasius Schneider
