All The Popes Since Vatican II Had Sympathies for Neo-Modernism

Talking to Gloria.tv, Monsignor Antonio Livi, a former dean and professor at the Roman Lateran University, pointed out that all popes since Second Vatican Council have had an attitude of esteem regarding heretical neo-modernism, including Benedict XVI who confessed that he basically agreed with the heretical theologian Karl Rahner. As a pope, Benedict even received the anti-Church theologian Hans Küng.

Ratzinger Is not a Solution to the Present Problems

To the question whether Joseph Ratzinger’s theology could lead out of the present crisis, Monsignor Livi replies: “absolutely not”. Livi explains that as a theologian Ratzinger is under neo-Protestant influence and opposed to the old Scholastic theology which has a rational rather than a sentimental, approach to the understanding of the faith.

Already Benedict XVI Avoided Magisterial Teaching

According to Livi, the documents published by Benedict XVI are theology, not magisterial documents. In these documents, Benedict XVI discusses with other theologians and he is less interested to re-propose the Catholic faith and to defend it from errors. Further, Livi points out that Benedict XVI spent months and months of his short pontificate to write theological books which he published as a private man.

The Ideology of “Modern Man”

Monsignore Livi points out that since John XXIII the opinion emerged that the Church must “translate” Catholic Dogma into a language comprehensible for – quote – “modern man”. Livi calls this a “myth” and “phantasy” because a “modern man” does not exist, only many modern men who are very different among each other. Livi explains that the category of “modern man” is taken from what newspapers or the media say. But – so Livi - there is more inside the soul of a human being than what the ideology of “modern man” wants us to believe.

The “New Pentecost” Is Oppressive

Monsignor Livi points out that the neo-modernist pastoral practice since Vatican II has often been called – quote – “a new Pentecost”. But this turns fallible practical decisions into infallible doctrins. Therefore, in the eyes of the neo-modernists, everybody who criticises their wrong pastoral practice commits a sacrilege and must be oppressed.

Sadly almost all traditional Catholic clergy are going along with this apostasy being lead by the popes since the confusing instructions of Vatican two, the present pope Francis has his foot fully on the throttle of apostasy.

Mons Livi's calls into question Joseph Ratzinger’s theology and that he wrote with a neo-Protestant influence and opposed the old Scholastic theology. Livi then questions the term “modern man” saying that it is an artificial construct and that the term does not reflect reality but has simply been created by newspapers or the media. Mons Livi concludes by criticizing VCII saying that it has been called “a new Pentecost.” But this term (new Pentecost) merely turns fallible practical decisions into infallible doctrines that can not be criticized.

Even if we agree completely with Livi on all his criticisms of the Church today, how does he suggest the situation can be rectified? After decades of decay, how does Mons Livi propose that "modern" theology which is sentimental miraculously be transformed into solid theology which is objective? What are his real world, practical solutions? 😲

Unfortunately, nowhere in this interview does Mons Livi give practical real world solutions to the problems that he discusses. What remedies does he propose and how are these remedies to be implemented? He doesn't say. Will there be reeducation/conversion camps? Who will teach and control these camps? Where will they be located? Who will be the targets of these conversion camps? Will there be sanctions for those clerics unwilling to comply? Will there be beatings, the Chinese Iron Maiden, Boiling, Water Boarding, Food Deprivation or the Rack? 👌

Sadly I feel compelled to add that it was none other than Pope Pius XII who appointed Bugnini who systematically destroyed the liturgy. Even good traditional popes can get sucked into the vortex of modernism.

It is very good that Monsignor Livi does not only say what is wrong but also what the solution is since he points out that "modern" theology is sentimental (existential, "personal", human, subjective, feeling) while a solid theology is objective, rational, verifiable, knowing. "Modern thought" prefers feeling to knowing. But behind every feeling there is a truth, and not knowing or not even wanting to know this truth, turns it into a hidden truth. Why would we want a truth to be hidden if we don't have something to hide?

Be sympathetic to Neo-Modernism, get canonized. Interesting formula.

The major and crucial difference between Francis and the other Conciliar Popes is that we are no longer being subjected to the "boiled frog syndrome" (i.e. the attempt to conceal Modernism with orthodox-sounding language, so that the multitudes are not aware of the incremental destruction taking place). With Francis, it is perfectly clear that we are being boiled...and destroyed...

Ahhh modern men are Idiots is what the church thinks today. Maybe they are right.

I get tired of hearing people say that if only Benedict was back or JPII, etc, things would be better. All the Vatican II popes were modernists. They only differed in degrees. The only solution is for the Church to once again become Catholic, which it currently isn't.

1. He was the first with any authority to challenge the myth that the documents of Vat II had dropped down from heaven and that Abp Lefebvre was diabolic.

2. He challenged the liturgical reform, saying it was a mess. He also insisted that the loss of Latin and the introduction of versus populum celebration were the cause of serious difficulties in the Church.

4. As he gradually aged, he turned toward theology that was mostly Patristic

5. Very few papal documents are of consequence.

As usual, in this interview and in numerous other publications, Monsignor Antonio Livi, goes into great detail describing the many problems within the Church (which we all have known) but offers zero solutions to those problems. 😲

Tell us, Mons Livi, in practical terms, what ARE the solutions to the Present Problems? What can Catholics do to resolve these issues, if anything? And if NOTHING can be done and we are destined to endure the trials of today's Church, then tell us that as well. 😲
