Sir Christopher Lee on Occult ~ Never, never, never. You will not only lose your mind, you will lose your soul.
Yesterday I stepped into Michael’s simply looking for a vase. What met me was not the quiet beauty of autumn, but aisle after aisle of darkness: blackened, decayed forms, symbols of spells and hexes, the occult presented as seasonal décor. The once-hidden has become brazenly displayed. The lovely fall decorations that honor the order of the seasons God Himself established had been reduced to a small, almost apologetic corner.
Sir Christopher Lee’s sober warning remains timely: “Never, never, never. You will not only lose your mind, you will lose your soul.” Even the softer, “pretty” versions of witchcraft that once hid behind charm and television comedy no longer bother to conceal their true nature. What was once whispered is now marketed in broad daylight.
May we remain vigilant, refuse every invitation to dabble, and continue to welcome the seasons as gifts from the Creator rather than occasions for darkness.
I was floored. We’re already in the middle of the Halloween season. It starts at the beginning of August, and the in your face evil and sinister is hard to miss.
We have always taken the holy day back. From a Benedictine view we simply celebrate fall, the colors, pumpkins, ceramics. That is a Catholic way to live it. Satan cannot create. He can only ape.
