An article in the Irish Examiner, written by two Indian academics, claims that Ireland's Catholic history makes it more susceptible to racism "irrespective of its colonial past"

We don't subscribe to a class or caste system. Entitled Indians might interpret our lack of deference to them as racism when in fact it is simply equality of respect. If you want an example of a disgusting racist practise consider the treatment of Dalits in India.

I'm sure the Catholics in India would have a different take on this.

And I suspect their backgrounds culturally, ideologically, academically, etc. make them more 'susceptible' to creating equally "racist" pap and reaching conclusions they wish to find in the first place. Sheer and utter bigotry masked as 'academic research '.
