Father Girouard is just about to be expelled from the SSPX. Indeed, Bishop Fellay just sent Father Girouard, priest of the Vancouver area, his canonical monition ordering him to obey him under threat of expulsion. For those who don't know, Fr. Girouard is a priest of the SSPX who has refused the change of orientation of the Society undertaken by Bishop Fellay, who absolutely wants to reach an agreement with Rome. On June 2nd this year, Father started a parish in Aldergrove, near Vancouver, with the help of 36 faithful. You can see him, well surrounded, on this picture. If you click on this link, you can listen to the video of his English sermon as well as read the transcript (which also exists in a French version). Have a good time and spread the news around!

I cannot see how an agreement is close, even remotely close. The recent statement rightly emphasises doctrine.

Vienna, VA, U.S.A. - June 29, 2013
Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Archbishop Lefebvre’s heroic decision in 1988 to consecrate truly Catholic bishops for the defense of the Catholic Faith and for the preservation of valid Sacraments from the devastation of the Church wrought by the disastrous Second Vatican Council, a group of priests express their alarm at the same devastation now being wrought upon the Archbishop’s Society of St. Pius X, and they resolve together to do what they can to protect the Church and Society against this newly developed peril.
For just as the churchmen of Rome have used the last 50 years to attempt to reconcile the Church with the world, and in particular by the religious liberty and ecumenism of Vatican II, so the Society’s Superior General over the last 15 years has done everything he could to promote the wicked dream of reconciling Catholic Tradition with Conciliar Rome. For example, the Declaration of June 27, 2013 once more leaves the door open to …More

In the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
I will be brief in this sermon because I have to read that statement again, and you already had it before mass, but what I want to say today is that, obviously, this is my first mass since I came back from exile, and I would like to say a little bit to correct a little bit things that had been said about me when I was away by Father Wegner and the other priests. They said that basically I had not talked with Father Wegner before to preach my sermons, and so forth and so on. So this is not correct, this is not a true statement. In fact I have talked with him many times...
Like in July last year, on a phone call of 80 minutes, and I mentioned all the problems in the Society; and in October, when he came to visit in Langley, we had a two hour conversation, and I told him of these problems in the Society; and then,…More

EDITORIAL sacrificium
June 2nd, 2013
Dear reader,
The reasons we have decided to leave Christ the King Priory and church in Langley, British Columbia, are not complicated or hard to grasp. Let us firstly say what has not been a part of our decision.
If I refused my punitive transfer to Montreal, and if a group of 27 adults and 11 children, representing about a third of the Langley parish, have decided to start a new parish and to ask me to become their pastor, it was not because of emotions. We are not angry, bitter, or resentful towards the SSPX, even if we have been betrayed by its management. We didn’t leave for the love of change or to seek some excitement either.
We basically have been forced out of a location we have helped to build and maintain, because we could not anymore stand the propaganda thrown at us by ways of action or omission. We realized that to remain silent and inactive in front of the evils besetting our beloved Society would be a grave sin. Not only because we …More

Whatever thinks Jacques-Régis du Cray, the February 28th letter to Bishop Fellay was written by some Society priests of the district of France.
Mr. Ennemond (Jacques-Régis du Cray), who claims he knows the SSPX well, stated that no priest of the district could have acted this way. He is mistaken; not all the priests share the ideas of Father Lorans or Célier. Some writers of his forum Fecit believed they could blame us for our anonymity. This is laughable when we know how Mr. Jacques-Régis du Cray uses and abuses it [anonymity].
Mr. Jacques-Régis du Cray put our bravery into question. Anonymity is not necessarily a sign of cowardice. To publicly resist the lies of our Superior General, we think opportune not to leave the Society. As Archbishop Lefebvre reminded to Dom Thomas Aquinas, prior of the Santa Cruz Monastery in Brazil, after the rallying of le Barroux (French Benedictine Monastery in Provence): “the goods …More

By a French priest of the SSPX Translated for TheRecusant.com 1. Has there ever really been a crisis ? Yes. Bp. Fellay speaks of “a very great trial in the SSPX” (Econe, 07/09/2012); “A sorrowful trial” with “serious problems” (Cor Unum, Nov. 2012) “The greatest that we’ve ever had” (01/11/2012) 2. Why speak of these problems in public? For the simple reason that we must “never say these theological discussions are a matter for specialists and do not concern us. It must be emphasised to show that exactly the opposite is the case: because they touch on faith, these issues concern us all, clergy and laity. We must therefore take pains to understand and make understood the issues. "(Fr. de Cacqueray, Suresnes, 31/12/2008) 3. Why deal with these problem in the form of …More

IF THE SALT LOSES ITS FLAVOR
Fr. Joseph Pfeiffer
November 24, 2012
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, Amen.
Today is the feast of St. John of the Cross but it is a time to say, "Blessed is the mouth of the just man who contemplates wisdom." We say often this Mass of the Doctor of the Church, Teacher of the Church—who contemplates wisdom. And also, we speak of the priest: "You are the salt of the earth and you are the light of the world. If the salt loses its savor, wherewith can it be salted? And what is the purpose of the light—the light of the world? The light is placed up on a lamp stand and the duty of the priest in all times, in all places, is to preach the truth in season and out of season. To preach the truth is our duty! We are the followers of Christ and have the obligation to preach the truth, and the truth is something which is …More
