Bishop Felix Genn of Münster, Germany, has faced significant criticism and complaints regarding his handling of sexual abuse cases within his diocese, particularly following a damning 2022 report that covered decades of misconduct
. While he has admitted to making mistakes, he has refused to resign, arguing that his actions did not constitute a cover-up
Bishop Oscar Domingo Sarlinga
In 2008, he was the focus of an unsuccessful plot to remove Cardinal Bergoglio from his office of Archbishop of Buenos Aires due to conflict between Bergoglio and the Kirchner administration. It would have had Bergoglio moved to a curial office in Rome and had Sarlinga become his replacement as Archbishop. Sarlinga has confirmed that the plot existed, though he denies involvement in it.
Along with this guy - Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández
for additional training....OOOOOO That's a very good idea

Pope Leo has named Rev. Don Stefano Cascio as Vice Director of the Laudato Si’ Center for Advanced Training, an initiative established by Pope Francis to promote integral ecology by addressing climate change, sustainability, and social justice. The appointment underscores both continuity and a renewed strengthening of the Vatican’s commitment to the principles of Laudato si’.

It’s noteworthy that Hicks comes from the Bernardin lineage of the Chicago Church. He was ordained a priest in 1994 by the late Cardinal Joseph Bernardin, the legendary archbishop who championed the “consistent ethic of life” and shaped a generation of more progressive Catholic leadership.

If that is true, maybe it's because in the Novus Ordo , you can pretty much believe whatever you want and still be considered Catholic.

The Diocese of Charlotte will discontinue the ordinary use of altar rails in parishes beginning Nov 30, the first Sunday of Advent. In parishes with temporary (not permanently affixed) altar rails, they will be removed. Beforehand, there was a heated consultation with the diocesan presbyterial council.

Bishops act in nasty and petty ways, they are trying to provoke nasty and petty reponse in order to justify their own bad behaviour. We need to avoid falling for their trap.

Words of Pope Leo XIV today, said in the context of migration: "There is a certain tendency, these days, to undervalue, at various levels, the models and values that have developed over the centuries and that shape our cultural identity, sometimes even attempting to erase their historical and human relevance. Let us not disdain what our ancestors experienced and what they passed on to us, even at the cost of great sacrifices. Let us not be seduced by homogenising and fluid models which offer only an appearance of freedom, but in fact make people dependent on forms of control such as passing fashions, commercial strategies, or other influences (cf. Card. Joseph Ratzinger, Homily at the Mass for the Election of the Roman Pontiff, 18 April 2005). To cherish the memory of those who came before us and to treasure the traditions that have made us who we are is important for facing the present and the future with awareness, serenity, responsibility, and a sense of perspective."

Leo XIV at the Jubilee of Migrants: "Mission is about remaining in order to proclaim Christ through hospitality and welcome, compassion and solidarity. We have to remain, without fleeing to comfort of our individualism, to remain is to be open to those who arrive from lands that are distant and violent. To remain and open our arms and hearts to them, welcoming them as brothers and sisters, and being for them a presence of consolation and hope."

Leo needs to read St Thomas Aquinas...... but, will he? Aquinas is sooo terribly Catholic, so probably not. This holder of the papacy is much more into consuming secular globalism (with a side of Chinese money) bah !!!!!

Pope Leo XIV: "I express my profound closeness to the Palestinian people in Gaza, who continue to live in fear and to survive in unacceptable conditions, forced once again from their own lands. Before Almighty God, who commanded “Thou shalt not kill,” and throughout human history, every person always has an inviolable dignity, to be respected and upheld. I renew my appeal for a ceasefire, the release of hostages, and a negotiated diplomatic solution, in full respect of international humanitarian law. I invite everyone to join my heartfelt prayer that a dawn of peace and justice may soon arise"

Gaza and indeed Palestine has been occupied since at least 1967; now they are killing the people of Gaza like flies. It is an insult to Almighty God that Parolin dares to proclaim that the Israelians have said they will not occupy Gaza.

No occupation of Gaza. They will just turn it into a parking lot.
