Saint Jean-Marie, pray for us.

This is the best drama I have ever seen. I wish all US Catholics watch it. May our good God bless us with His holy priestly servants!

Lesser known quotes of the Curé d’Ars - "Man has a high calling - to pray and to love / There is nothing so beautiful as a pure soul / If you are not a saint, you will be a reprobate / A Christian ought always to be ready for battle / The saints did not all begin well, but they all ended well / We should make the sign of the cross with great reverence / The treasure of a Christian is not upon earth …More

I once was given good advice by a Carmelite, that as a lay person, I should consider choosing one male saint from the many saints of the church to become my “socius meus”. I chose St Jean-Marie Vianney to be my companion saint as he came from a humble background with little education and yet achieved great sanctity despite the many obstacles along the highway to holiness. I took to heart the Carmelite’s advice and have since purchased every available book on the life of St Jean-Marie Vianney. Those books that I could not purchase, I accessed through the San Francisco based “Internet Archive” www.archive.org. If you have not heard of Saint Luke Productions; its vision and mission is to renew and evangelise the USA through the theatre and other media; please consider accessing www.stlukeproductions.com for further information. I look forward to the release of their film production “Vianney” in late 2012. "All soldiers are good in garrison; it is on the field of battle that the brave man is distinguished from the coward", Jean-Marie Vianney (Curé d’Ars).
