Lucky Atheist: Pope Francis has encountered in the Vatican the militant English Atheist and physicist, Stephen Hawking in what www.express.co.uk calls an, "awkward meeting of minds." Hawking has been a member of the Pontifical Academy for Science since 1986. The four Cardinals who raised questions about the controversial document Amoris Laetitia were less lucky than Hawking. Francis never received them.

Surprise? Two days after the death of the bloodthirsty Cuban tyrant, Fidel Castro, there has been no reaction from the side of any of the bishops in Cuba. The website of the Bishops’ Conference does not even mention Pope Francis’ telegram of condolence in which Bergoglio expresses his – quote – “sentiments of sorrow.” The website “Il Sosmografo,” which is a mouthpiece of the Vatican, seems to be surprised about the silence of the Cuban Church that has suffered for decades under Castro.

Fighting Degradation: Lyuba Lulko writes on pravdareport.com that it is not Russia that imposes Christian values on the world, but God himself guides Russia to help our civilization survive. Quote: “Policies of same-sex marriage and genderless children, juvenile justice and promotion of homosexuality are a way to the degradation of man.” And: “If Europe does not change, Europe will perish.”

Bishops Besmear the Church: The International Anglican-Roman Catholic Commission for Unity and Mission, a group of Anglican and Catholic bishops, has claimed that the Church has failed to protect children, women, and indigenous peoples. They call on the Church to repent and seek justice for alleged victims. During their meeting, 19 pairs of Anglican and Catholic bishops were, “sent out” for joint mission by Pope Francis and the Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury.

It comes as no surprise that after Castro's death there has been “no reaction from the side of any of the bishops in Cuba.” It is also bewildering but comes as no surprise that the visible head of the Catholic Church has expressed his “sentiments of sorrow” for the man who jailed and tortured political prisoners at a higher rate than Stalin during the Great Terror and who murdered more Cubans in his first three years in power than Hitler murdered Germans during his first six.

Fidel Castro shattered — through mass-executions, mass-jailings, mass larceny and exile — virtually every family on the island of Cuba. Many opponents of the Castro regime qualify as the longest-suffering political prisoners in modern history, having suffered prison camps, forced labor and torture chambers for a period three times as long in Fidel Castro’s Gulag as Alexander Solzhenitsyn suffered in Stalin’s Gulag.
Fidel Castro and Che Guevara beat ISIS to the game by over half a century. As early as January 1959 they were filming their murders for the media-shock value.

Yet, Pope Francis expressed his “sentiments of sorrow” on the death of this extraordinarily evil man rather than sympathy for his victims. 😲

Also used his book A Brief History of Time in my disseration, noting the similarily between his concept of Time and that of Cardinal Ratzinger.

His understanding, however, of the relationship between Time and the Existence of God is all but non existent. He's trying to do Cosmology without any understanding of metaphysics--that doesn't work.
