A beautiful story!
Solemnity of the Holy Trinity, June 16, 2019

Dear brothers and sisters, the first mystery of our incredible and wonderful Christian faith, that is, the mystery of the Holy Trinity, a God in three persons, was not revealed by God in the way a teacher seated behind a desk is used to teach to his students, but it was revealed through a beautiful story, the history of salvation that is communicated to us through the Holy Bible and the tradition of the Church, interpreted with authority by the Magisterium of the Church.
God "created", from a man and a woman, Abraham and Sarah, already old and, furthermore, marked by death, the Jewish people, and reveals himself to them as the provident Creator of the entire universe and, in a particular way, of mankind created in His Image and likeness, male and female.
During a story that lasted approximately 2000 years, God reveals himself to the chosen people as a loving, just and provident Father committed to protect and guide Israel's people to the promised land that was only a "figure" of the true Christians’ Homeland, that is, Heaven .
In the fullness of time, he sends his only Son, Jesus, who, by becoming man in the purest womb of Mary, realizes the Father's plan on man, opening the "door" of Eternal Life.
In fact, Jesus Christ, true God and true Man, (this is the second main mystery of our faith), son of God and Mary, by the merits of his life, passion, death, resurrection, and ascension to Heaven deserves us the first Gift, that is, the Holy Spirit who is in charge with carrying out His work of Redemption through time and space.
For this reason, dear brothers and sisters, full of gratitude, we Christians do not cease to repeat with joy, together with the whole Church: Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, As it was in the beginning, and now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
