Pentecost Sunday
There was a woman who would always complain about the things her husband would do, or should I say, what he would not do. It wasn't till one day that he was in the hospital that she realized what a gift he was to her. Now she had to do all the chores he did, like mow the lawn, take care of the kids when she needed help, make the extra grocery trip he would normally do on the way home and of course, fix things around the house the very thing she complained most about. It was then that she realized how much he really did. From that time on, her relationship with her spouse got much better with the realization of the gift that was always there, but never appreciated.
Sometimes we all have gifts that are so close to us that we never really take the time to stop and notice. It could be our spouse, children, grandparents and even our priests! God is so good to us. When was the last time you thanked God for the food you get to eat or the …More
