Anyone who self identifies as a homosexual is morally deviant. There is no such thing as a homosexual. We are just talking about people who look at others of the same sex as objects of use to satisfy sexual cravings. These appetites should have been mortified and mastered before the candidate got within smelling distance of ordination. Sex is for founding a family inside marriage. Nobody has a right to disrespect their bodies or the bodies of others to feed a sexual appetite that has been groomed in a stupid senseless disordered and very damaging way. You can decide with your will and the help of God's grace not to look on other people (same sex or otherwise) as sexual objects. It's not complicated.

Is child abuse the only problem when it comes to homosexual clergy? What about the virtue of purity? How can a man who is sexually attracted to men maintain the highest standard of purity in an all male seminary and later, in a priory? Isn't that tempting God in much the same way that a heterosexual man who wants to be pure would be if he were in a close living and working relationship with women? Eventually, the law of mutual attraction will be set into motion. Then what are to think? Oh, it was consentual. No problem here.
