Yes: During his flight from Lesbos to Rome Pope Francis said to the question whether Amoris Laetitia changed anything for adulterers who can’t receive Communion. The pope said: “I could say ‘yes’ and full stop. But this would be too short an answer. I recommend all of you to read the presentation made by Cardinal Schönborn, who is a great theologian. He is a member of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, and is familiar with the Church's doctrine. In his presentation your question will find an answer.” Schöborn is the pro-homosex and pro-divorce Cardinal of Vienna.

Novelty: The official newspaper of the diocese of Bergamo, Italy, writes: “The divorced and remarried can be admitted to the sacraments. This is one of the novelties of Amoris Laetitia. Bergamo is the home diocese of Pope John XXIII.

Pandora’s box: Pro-homosex and pro-divorce Cardinal Kasper has claimed in front of a German newspaper that quote – “what one calls according to Canon law an irregular situation is present practically in every family.” According to Kasper, Pope Francis also allows innovations regarding abortion and homosex-pseudo-marriage.

Troubles: A final ruling of an Italian Court of Appeals has established that the goods used by the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate need to be given back to their lay benefactors. Because of a Franciscan vow of poverty the order never owned its own monasteries and houses. This is a heavy blow to the Vatican who sacked the founder of the order, Father Stefano Manelli. But the benefactors support Manelli and not the Vatican or the Vatican imposed new superiors of the community.

Thanks for the news, Gloria.TV The More Catholic the Better.

I have often wondered why the FFI was treated with such severity (unjust in my opinion). I read at the time of their trials (persecutions in my opinion) that they were accused of SSPX leanings. Recently I read besides being given jurisdiction to hear confession, that a more friendly posture has been given the SSPX?

I ask again in light of these things, What threat did the FFI represent to those that destroyed them? Could it really have been the SSPX leanings?
Perhaps a Love of the TLM, well I think that would draw down some hate from certain quarters, but was that enough?
I am thinking that the real threat, is the FFI may by their good works, and example have restored the Franciscan 3rd order to its former faithfulness.
The very order that Popes and Saints alike embraced and cherished, before they became both in name and example Secular Franciscans.
What strikes me as the predominate theme in the Once Tertiary Franciscans was their separation from the world, which made them a witness to the world.
Pope Pius XII was but only one of the latest of Popes to champion this order, as a secular arm of the church, that gave witness to the world.
Again Separate from the world, but in the world.
A 3rd order witness to the Heavenly Home, not a secular order in a secular world.

I Miss sharing in the joys and accomplishments of the FFI.
I Miss sharing in the excitement and love for God that the Fast growing community of the FFI brought to the faithful.
May St. Francis Once more obtain the Grace for the Church to raise up Again another (3rd ) Tertiary order of St. Francis.
