No Confession No Mercy: Addressing the participants of a course organized by the Apostolic Penitentiary, Pope Francis said that confession shows God’s mercy in a particular way. Quote: “Only, what is kept away from divine mercy can not be forgiven, as what escapes from the sun, cannot be lighted or heated.”

Poor Memory: Radio Vatican asked Vatican Speaker Father Federico Lombardi about what he specially remembers about the first two years of the Pontificate of Pope Francis. Lombardi mentioned three things: some hugging in front of the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem, the blessing Francis asked from the visibly embarrassed Patriarch of Constantinople and, finally, the many people in the Philippines who wanted to see the Pope. Gloria.tv regrets that Lombardi did not remember a single instance of a specifically Catholic event.

Playing Up to the World: Edward Pentin writes on newsmax.com: “In his first two years Pope Francis has scored high marks in the secular world where his popularity continues to soar, chiefly among non-Christians and fallen-away Catholics.” He has succeeded in rescuing the Church from a poor public image. But – according to Pentin – many of Francis’ own flock find his popularity at odds with a Church called to be countercultural.

A Strong Centralist: Pope Francis is often presented as somebody who wants to make the Church more democratic and less centralized around the Pope and the Vatican. But the famous Roman historian Roberto de Mattei raised doubts about this interpretation in a March 8 interview with the Italian daily Il Resto del Carlino. Quote: “Bergoglio speaks of decentralization of power in the Church and then proves to be a strong centralist.”

Human Rights As A Smokescreen: It is obvious that there is a plan to eliminate the Christians altogether from the Middle East, Baghdad auxiliary bishop Shlemon Warduni said to an Italian newspaper. Quote: “I wonder where the UN is. And America: which talks much of democracy and then stays and watches. And Europe? Where are the human rights about which they talk so much?”

I find it a little worri1some when our Pope is (almost?) never hated by the world ... or so it would seem some times.

Thanks for your reply, sincerely.
I have no problem with @Gloria.TV News having a position on the Synod, Pope Francis, liberalism in the Church.
I also don't see myself as some kind of censor or authority on this site - simply another user and a fellow Catholic
just like you.

I'm sorry that you think that way of me, that you'd rather I left this site and went somewhere else - and the irony
of your statement about manipulation is not lost on me, considering I was just calling out the very obvious dig at
Fr Lombardi and by extension, Pope Francis - which is precisely designed to manipulate the audience here to accept
a very narrow view of Pope Francis' pontificate.

So my polite answer is no my friend, I am not going anywhere, I have the utmost respect for this site and that
its moderators tolerate my discussion of what it says and how it says it as long as I'm not being insulting (which is fair enough).

As far as truth goes, I thought I was speaking the truth as a conscious and concerned Catholic when I said Pope Francis'
official duties are 'Catholic events'.

I won't get into a scripture battle with you, I'll just say that I completely agree with the passage you quoted as well
as all of scripture in its wholeness.

ps - I have a site, it's called What the Faith - I won't link to it here but you can Google it.

God Bless :)

Lindsaywtf Isn't possible that you create your own Christian forum/site? Isn't possible that you once and for all stop complaining? Isn't possible for you to stop instructing and manipulating into how the owners of this website and Roman-Catholics should think, speak and do? Please be courteous enough not to impose censorship on others, especially websites you do not own and have not done any work to establish. You may like to simply move on to other websites that support Pope Francis' modern pastoral strategy which is compatible with your ideology. Roman-Catholics have the right to speak the Truth, especially on their own websites, even though it is not in line with the present pontificate. The more "cafeteria Catholics" are unconscious of as to what happened at the synod and of the general progressive pastoral strategy, the more gloria.tv and Roman-Catholics globally should heed the warning of the Apostle Paul, who said:

"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other Gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." (Gal.1:8).
