Why such the out cry--people everyday in good standing receive the

The same woman that just bagged their groceries at the supermarket 2 hours before--now became sanctified enough to receive the Body and Body of Christ from.
All in good standing with Rome.
Why the shock--it is done every hour of the day around the world---only worst and you participate …More

I blame Vatican II. This once again is open desecration of the Most Blessed Sacrament. It does not matter where you are from we cannot allow abuses like this to happen.
Pray for them.

This is just another witness to the age of modernistic living. The saints would have immediately removed the monstrance from this woman's hands and then begged for forgiveness.

Ah! At first, I thought that this was the norm for Meso-American Hispanic Eucharistic processions. BUT then I saw that a priest was not the one carrying the monstrance!! However, the woman did hand it on to a priest on the 'last leg'. Oh dear.... but do keep in mind that there is much happy synchronism in this region where Mayan and Aztec culture is (thankfuly) still quite strong. Could it be that …More

Oh dear.... but do keep in mind that there is much happy synchronism in this region where Mayan and Aztec culture is (thankfuly) still quite strong. Could it be that the woman carrying the monstrance is signifcant for their cultural idom? Perhaps, of Maternal significance - ie Marian? One needs to understand why this was done before one judges this to be "liturgical abuse".
