Recognition? According to Marco Tosatti the Pope will soon unilaterally recognize the Priestly Society of Saint Pius X. Tosatti writes that Pope Francis has – quote – “no sympathies for the conservatives”. But he believes that Francis has the ambition to perform some gests, which his predecessors were not able to do. Further Francis believes that the Levebvrists are irrelevant and without influence in the Church and therefore not dangerous.

Abortion is Terrorism: Archbishop Andres Stanovnik of Corrientes compared the terrorist attacks in Brussels and abortion in a message for the Argentinean Day of the Unborn Child. Quote: “Such tragedies happen when man constitutes himself as the master over the lives of others.” And: “One does not eliminate problems by eliminating the lives of others.” Stanovnik reminds that abortion is crying for vengeance in the face of God.

Selective Reporting: Monday’s New York Times published a front-page story about a sexual abuse that occurred – quote - “long ago” in a Pennsylvania diocese. Catholic League’s Bill Donohue points out that the story’s omissions are glaring. For instance, it does not say that the alleged abuse extended back to World War II. Or: The article does not explain that the two bills that are proposed to revise the statute of limitations on sexual abuse involving minors only apply to private institutions. They would not affect the public schools, even though Pennsylvania public schools have the second worst record in the U.S. when it comes to raping students.

Kicked Out: The Sodalitium of Christian Life, a Society of Pontifical Right founded in Lima, Peru in 1971 and composed of consecrated laymen and priests has kicked out its founder Luis Fernando Figari. He was accused of sexual abuses of members of the community and was confined since 2010 in a Roman house of the community. He admitted to have made big mistakes but proclaims his innocence regarding sexual abuses.

Obeying the commandments and precepts of God is necessary for Justification.
In the Gospel of Matthew, a rich man asks Christ: "Good master, what good shall I do that I may have life everlasting? Jesus said to him: "Why do you ask Me concerning good? One is good, God. But if you wish to enter into Life, keep the commandments."
Then he said to Him: "Which ones?" And Jesus said: "You shall not murder …More

Then he said to Him: "Which ones?" And Jesus said: "You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness, honour your father and your mother, and you shall love your neighbor as yourself!"
The young man said to Him: "All these I have kept from my youth, what am I still lacking?"
Jesus said to him: "If you want to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have a treasure in heaven and come, follow Me!"
But when the young man heard this statement, he went away grieving, for he was one who owned much property. And Jesus said to His disciples: "Verily I say to you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God." Matthew 19, 16-24

Then Jesus was approached by a group of Pharisees and lawyers from Jerusalem, with a question: "Why do your disciples break the ancient tradition? They do not wash their hands before meals." He answered them: "And what of you? Why do you break God’s commandments in the interest of your tradition?" Matthew 15,1-9

I do not go with everything compliant what Walter Veith says, but he says that Grace and Law have to be together:
min. 3,28: "Do we then avoid the Law through faith? God forbid! On the contrary, we establish the Law!"(Romans 3,31)...When I do away the Law, do I than need Grace?... Grace and Law are complementary, and if you seperate them than you have need of neither - the two have to be together!"

Who would want to change the Bible?
Why would they want to change the Bible?

Dr Bobus
Walter Veith, a lapsed Catholic, is a typical conservative Protestant--he affirms the Moral Law but denies the reality of Grace.

That´s right, the Pius X. Society is not dangerous for Rome as long as they keep quiet and pray the rosary. The succession of Jesus Christ and the Apostles requires to proclaim the truth clearly and directly to all people, that disobedience against God´s Law leads to destruction, if they don´t turn back and change their mind.
The Pius X. Society and the Roman Officials must teach once more the authentic Word of God, but first of all they have to restore the modification of the written Word of God.

"The earth mourns and withers, the world fades and withers, the exalted of the people of the earth fade away. The earth is also defiled by its inhabitants, for they transgressed laws, violated statutes, broke the everlasting covenant. Therefore, a curse devours the earth, and those who live in it are held guilty." Isaiah 24,4-6

On the other hand, they continue, as I noted before, to see life in the Church as Missionary. The problem in the West is that the Jesuits mistakenly attribute to the Baroque era certain things, e,g, Latin liturgy, that pre-existed that era. And so they have generally decided to see everything through the prism of German Existentialism.
***
German Existentialism has of course damaged the Society of Jesus, but there are legitimate criticisms that can be made of their previous approach, which, among other things, separated spirituality from morality.

@Dr Bobus: I wonder how much Francis is a Jesuit and whether in our days the Jesuits still exist. I don't dispute that there are still religious who call themselves "Jesuits" but they have neither the formation nor the mindset of what used to be the Jesuits. They are just a very average bunch of not very intelligent liberals.

Also: my guess is that he thinks the current irregular status of the SSPX is a product of Church bureaucracy and politics rather than any SSPX deficiency in Catholicism.

It also needs to be noted that he is from Argentina, where the Church is comparatively strong compared to Europe and where the SSPX has a strong presence.
