What is a Renault?: In a news video, the usually anti-Catholic Huffington Post was very excited about Pope Francis being driven in a – quote – humble Ford Focus to Castel Gandolfo. Caitlyn Becker almost fainted: “Now here's a Pope who practices what he preaches.” She put this in contrast to pompous Benedict XVI who travelled around in luxury cars including a … Renault which – quote – “is really so fancy that I don’t even know what that is”.

What is he telling us?: The Catholic journalist Damian Thompson is angry with Father John Zuhlsdorff. The posting on Father's blog dealt with an article about a Catholic woman Mary Stackowicz who in 2002 was brutally murdered by a homosexual. The crime was covered up by the pro-gay media. Thompson uses the worst kind of pro-homosexual propaganda language in order to slam Father Zuhlsdorff. Look at the title of Thompson’s article - quote: “Atrocious anti-gay bigotry from Father Z.” “Its rhetorical style reminds me of old-fashioned racist propaganda.” Many of Thompson’s readers did not like his article. A poster named “Quitollis” commented: “Is Damian trying to tell us something?”

Threatened by safety: Msgr. Charles Pope has commented on last week’s Texas Legislature ruling that places significant requirements on abortion mills. The abortuaries must now meet basic medical safety requirements and certification. Monsignor writes: “Pro-abortion advocates, who have long marched under the banner of “safe and legal,” should hail the Texas decision since it goes a long way to ensure one of their two “pillar” positions (i.e. that abortion be “safe”) is guaranteed. But, of course, they are not satisfied. Instead, they are howling in protest.” He concludes: “The Texas Law demonstrates the lie regarding the propaganda from the Pro-choice advocates. “Safe” for them appears to be more of an abstraction or a slogan. Real safety doesn’t seem to interest them or, at least, it seems to threaten them.”

In June, an 80-year-old Jesuit, Fr. Burt Thelen resigned his priestly ministry to stand – quote - in solidarity with the mariginalised of the Church. In a letter he declared: “I have decided to leave ordained Jesuit ministry and return to the lay state, the priesthood of the faithful bestowed on me by my Baptism nearly 80 years ago.” Thelen is a former Provincial of the Wisconsin Jesuits. According to him it is – quote – “the Risen Christ Who beckons me now toward a more universal connection with the Cosmos, the infinitely large eco-system we are all part of, the abundance and vastness of what Jesus called “the Reign of God.” By leaving the Jesuits, Thelen wants to embrace – quote – “the call of our cosmic inter-connectedness”. He motivates his decision “as a protest against the social injustices and sinful exclusions perpetrated by a patriarchal church that refuses to consider ordination for women and marriage for same- sex couples.”

An eighty year old jesuit preist resigns his ministry because women can not be priests and people practising same sex sinful lives cant be priests. The devil has his agents all right, shame this one hadnt been an honest one and left many, many years ago, Misssin you already "father". What a waste of space he is.

Fr. Thelen, almost 80 years old, has been a priest for perhaps 50 years. The Church's position on women priests and homosexual marriage has not changed.
So then, why now?

So then, why now?

For what reason would this elderly man suddenly feel the need to protest

The answer in a word – Dimentia.
