God's Saving Pattern of Working Immediately.
In the Gospel we hear about lepers coming to Our Lord, adoring Him, and asking to be cleansed. His response: “I will, be thou made clean.” And forthwith—immediately—their leprosy is cleansed. And we know this sort of thing happened over and over. If you read the Gospel of St. Mark, you will find that the among the most repeated words is the adverb: immediately. At the end of the Sacred Scriptures, He tells us He will come quickly! “Behold, I come quickly” (Apoc. 22:12). The Centurion’s servant was cured immediately. All throughout the Gospel, devils came out at His command. Lazarus came back to life and out of the tomb, four days dead, at His command. The sea was calmed at His command. He changed water into wine in an instant. Just as God said to the Leper, “I will, be thou made clean,” so too can He say, “Let there be light, plants, stars, animals… man” and it was done! And according to this pattern, it was done IMMEDIATELY! And yet at the same time looked old as the water turned into wine tasted old! When God works, He works without delay, with nothing hindering His Word from having its effect! Not even nothingness can stop Him, as He created the whole universe ex nihilo! Out of nothing! Compare this to the modern evolution-based view of things... All is slowing progressing, etc. How is it that this evolution-based pseudo-science can be applied to God and His Created order when His pattern of acting immediately is so apparent in Divine Revelation and all throughout history?!
