There’s power in the name of Jesus!
July 7, 2019 XIV Sunday of Ordinary Time

Dear brothers and sisters, the Gospel of Sunday, July 7, offers us the opportunity to reflect once more on the power inherent in the Name of Jesus. This was, and is, the incredible experience of the believers in Christ. The 72 disciples sent by Jesus on mission, full of joy, return telling the miracles of mercy operated in the name of Jesus and conclude by saying: Even the demons submit to us in Your Name!
The New Testament is full of stories that reveal the prodigies operated by the Apostles in the name of Jesus. Let us remember only a few: Peter, who in the name of Jesus heals the paralytic of the beautiful door of the Temple of Jerusalem (Acts 3: 1-10).
Paul, who in the name of Jesus resurrects the young Eutychus fallen from the window ... (Acts 20: 7-1), frees the young girl slave from the evil spirit ... (Acts 16: 16-19), heals the paralytic Aeneas ... (Acts 9, 32-35)
Dear brothers and sisters, Pope Francis in his homily during the celebration of the Holy Mass on the solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, said that "Jesus does not want" reporters of the Spirit ", but his living witnesses.
Yes, dear friends, even today, as always, the world does not need super men or super heroes, who do not exist, but repentant sinners who saved by Jesus and in his name defeat the ideologies that confuse and kill, the fashions that distract and drug, the slogans that stun and numb. The world needs repentant sinners who, in the name of Jesus, are capable of "triggering" the Revolution of Love!
