Il Forestiero non l’irrise, semplicemente cercò d'incunearsi nell'animo suo per allargare lo spazio del suo cuore. Andata al pozzo per cercare acqua, trovò l'Acqua, quella vera, quella viva che disseta per l’eternità. Da quell'Uomo che le chiese "dammi da bere" sentì dire tutto ciò che aveva fatto, che era stata e che sarebbe potuta diventare in seguito.
Quella di Gesù fu una confidenza a quattr'occhi, forse anche una sua esigenza tant'è che attese il momento in cui i suoi discepoli andarono a fare la spesa in città, per avvicinarla, sedurla e portarla a rivedere la propria vita.
