Does L'Osservatore Romano Want Charlie Dead?

While the world is fighting for the life of Charlie Gard, the toddler whom British doctors want to kill because he suffers from a rare disease, the Vatican daily L'Osservatore Romano published a disconcerting piece about Charlie by Gianpaolo Dotto. The paper believes that - quote - "in front of this human tragedy as with so many others, Jesus would not say anything, he would simply bend forward and draw on the ground and wait for silence. He would not pronounce any judgment". L'Osservatore then speaks of - quote - "unavoidable clinical decisions" insinuating that Charlie should die.

A Red Rag For the Liberals

On June 18, Liverpool Archbishop Malcolm McMahon processed into St Mary’s Shrine Church, Warrington, wearing a long cappa magna. Damian Thompson writes on the Catholic Herald, "For 'progressive' Catholics, the cappa magna is like a red rag to a bull." Thompson notices, that the great cape represents the finery of the world, its pomp and prestige of which the bishop is publicly stripped before the congregation. He has his silk choir vestments removed – and then re-enters in priestly garb.

Upside-Down-Liturgy

Bishop François Fonlupt of Rodez, France, ordained on June 25th Father Manoj Visuvasam as a priest. Fonlupt who wears a mustache and prefers a tie to the Roman collar, celebrated Mass with a so-called pagan Bindi on his forehead. The Mass was performed in the part of the church opposite of the sanctuary. At some point Fonlupt lifted up a vase that contained something like a coconut. At the elevation three women engaged in a red-plate-ceremony. At the end, two girls performed a Tamil thanksgiving dance. Fonlupt is not friendly toward Catholic traditions.
