I believe and stand firm with the church that women cannot become Bishops, or priests. Yet I am unsurtain about women becoming deacons. Were not women deacons in the early church??? Also if a women i9s one body with her husband and the husband is a deacon would she share in her husbands ordination? Just a thought?

Bishop Wcela shows disturbing ignorance of basic theology of the priesthood. As it says in the report the Sacrament of Holy Orders is one sacrament given in three degrees. To be ineligible for one is to be ineligible for the other two - if women cannot be priests they cannot be deacons either.
