@pmfji I pointed this out elsewhere regarding the comments of the newswoman. But I didn't think about Shapiro's angle. Good point. I wonder if it's deliberate.
Whilst there are great things said in this interview, where was the acknowledgement that nearly all the abuse is not against children and is as a result of homosexuality? Of course we cannot allow Francis and his supporters a 'free pass' in any way at all, but neither can we - they - ignore the real cause of the problems in the Catholic church.
