The Difference Between Francis and Paul VI

In a lecture given in mid-October in Melbourne, Cardinal Raymond Burke compared Paul VI with Francis. Burke noticed that Francis speaks frequently and carelessly in public. In contrast, Paul VI carefully reviewed his publications. Burke told the audience that he had recently met a cardinal who, as a young priest, spoke with Paul VI about the publication of the papal sermons in the Acta Apostolicae Sedis. Paul VI said to the priest that as Christ's representative he was responsible that none of his words could be interpreted in contradiction to the doctrine of the Church.

Confusion Instead of Clarity at the Top of the Church

Marco Tosatti, a veteran Vaticanista, told LaFedeQuotidiana in an exclusive interview that never before has he seen so much confusion and division in the Church. He agrees with Pope Francis that the Church needs prayers, but – quote – “first we need clarity and the answer to many things.” But, Tosatti admits that at the moment, he does not see clarity at the top of the Church. He tells Pope Francis – quote, “It is part of the job of every leader to give clear and distinct indications, especially regarding doctrine.”

Pope Francis: Secrecy Instead of Open Dialogue

Tosatti admits that Pope Francis encourages an open dialogue. But, - quote- “Between what he says and what he does, I find some contradictions. He invokes transparency and does not respond to the legitimate questions of a bishop and cardinals, and makes secret agreements with China ".

An Uplifting Ceremony

Last Saturday, famous Archbishop Wolfgang Haas of Vaduz, Liechtenstein, conferred the tonsure and handed over the cassock to 11 seminarians of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter. The seminarians are in their second year of formation in Wigratzbad, Germany. The ceremony took place in the splendid baroque church in Lindau, Germany. Archbishop Haas became famous as the Bishop of Chur, Switzerland. He undertook a successful reform of this corrupt diocese, but was removed by John Paul II who capitulated in front of the modernists, the oligarch media and the Swiss politicians who all plotted against Bishop Haas.
