From the Parish of Ardagh - Carrickerry, Limerick Ireland, in the southwest of Ireland, famous for the finding of world treasure “The Ardagh Chalice,” Fr. Eamonn McCarthy, priest of the Diocese of Cloyne and Catholic broadcaster for Radio Maria Ireland, sets the tone for observing the Third Week of Lent. The Lenten journey involves spiritual pilgrimage into the wilderness, climbing the mountains of life in order to reach the Promised Land. The God who is all compassion and love calls us to follow him and to be sent wherever he wills, while being cautious and relying on him for direction. We are likewise called to observe the signs of the times and repent of wandering from his path for our lives.
