The Apostle of Rome versus The Apostle of Modern Thought.

On this Pentecost Sunday, let’s spend our time reflecting on two apostles… the 16th Century St. Philip Neri, known as “the Apostle of Rome”, and the Jesuit Teilhard de Chardin, the “apostle of evolution” or perhaps we might call him the “Apostle of Modern Thought”. Why choose these two on Pentecost? Because they both received a spirit from outside of themselves to help and guide them in their apostolate. And as I hope to show you, they were not the same spirits… one was from above (same as Apostles) and the other from below.
