A [traditional] Catholic in the New Rite

When a rad trad goes to a normal mass.
I epistle Paul Corinthians 11

" [4] Every man praying or prophesying with his head covered, disgraceth his head. [5] But every woman praying or prophesying with her head not covered, disgraceth her head: for it is all one as if she were shaven.

[6] For if a woman be not covered, let her be shorn. But if it be a shame to a woman to be shorn or made bald, let her cover her head." www.drbo.org/…More

....and as the Church proclaims....we're all attending the Marriage supper of the Lamb.... and need a Bridal veil..... for we are the Brides of Christ....

Matthew 22

[11] And the king went in to see the guests: and he saw there a man who had not on a wedding garment. [12] And he saith to him: Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? But he was silent. [13] Then the king said to the waiters: Bind his hands and feet, and cast him into the exterior darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. [14] For many are called, but few are chosen.www.drbo.org/x/d
That was a common facial expression for ME too - before I heard Fr Hesse speak on YOUTUBE & switched to the Latin Mass.

My recollections of one particular ego-driven celebrity seeking novus ordo "priest" whom I nick-named "Pavarotti Priest" are especially painful.

This is NOT Mass. It is a protestant service. Let's speak the truth. No wonder the lady is perplexed.

Jungerheld, I can answer that: the same camera-happy people who take photos in my parish which is entirely Traditional Latin Mass. One couple are "pillars of the church". You know the types. They're good people... seriously devout, their son is an altar-boy, if there's anything going on in the parish, their family is 100% involved, they donate heavily of their time and finances. They're good people... seriously devout, their son is an altar-boy, if there's anything going on in the parish, their family is 100% involved, they donate heavily of their time and finances. Wife makes meals for the pastor, Husband is an usher, on the finace committee, etc. etc. etc.

But... Oh Lord... the moment there's a feast day, they've got their hands up and snapping photos and video on their smart-phones like teenagers at a Justin Bieber concert.

There never was the term 'traditional' before Vatican ii. We were Catholics, period. To be considered a 'trad' today is almost like that of being a yuppie, something fashionable. And the people in charge of the 'traditional' movement will have to answer to God for this since they remain silent on the matter.

...just wondering who is accompanying the "reverent" "trad" and shooting videos in the middle of a (N.O.) Mass.
Anything goes at the novus ordo 🤪
