He urged the prelates to respond to a recent homosexual scandal, noting that a U.S. news anchor in a same-sex “marriage” had been received into the Church and had received the sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Communion on 8 November. “It just needs to be addressed. Father James Martin is involved once again,” he said. Monsignor Strickland also remarked that in the “great pictures” of the liturgy, everyone involved is smiling. “We need to address this issue,” he repeated. Following his intervention, the panel offered no reaction or response.
