Holy Saturday 2009 I went with my Russian Orthodox neighbor to Polish parish to bless the traditional Easter basket ( bread,salt,eggs).In the evening I was too tired to walk to local parish to attend the Vigil services,I desired very much to participate ,but did not want to impose on my neighbor- that very moment he called me again.My pastor was surprised to see me,a widow,accompanied by a man.As he was blessing the basin of water in which all those desiring to join Catholic Church were to be baptised,I heard lion pacing behind the priest,roaring at the candidates in front pews at the right,than walking over to the left side roaring angrily.Amazed by the priest's courage,as Fr W. continued with" The Spirit of God moved over the waters..." ,I squeezed the right arm of my neighbor,to alert him to that moment- he looked at the priest and shook his head in acknowledgment.Judging by his reverent,wordless reaction I was sure he heard it too! All I could think of was the fact that as I was growing up,before each Holy Mass the priest would walk around ,blessing the whole congregation and all the faithful. First on Easter Sunday,when ,after attending morning Mass at Polish Church ,when we went by the Coptic Orthodox Church and I witnessed Traditional Orthodox Catholic Mass, it's piety reminding me so much of TLM I attended as a child in Poland,here with beautiful Coptic language Holy Liturgy,the Priest joyfully ,solemnly blessing the whole church did I ask my Russian neighbor,if he heard the satan angrily roaring the day before and he reminded me,that with all what was happening to me ,all the miracles,I was probably the only one that was aware of satan's hate for the Holy Water

I use Holy Water every single night and bless everyone in my care with it. And also for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. And every now and again I go into each room in the house and bless it with Holy Water. The first time I did it, I forgot to do the stair-well and as I came down the stairs there was a foul smell, just at the bottom of the stairs!!! So I threw holy water there too. Yea; the smell disappeared - seems to me there was someone not too pleased about getting the boot. There's more that one way to keep a house clean! - Blessings - Rene
